2) If you do not review, I will assume you are not reading and will therefore not mind if your character gets no screen time. Reviewing will not ensure survival, nor will not reviewing hamper your character's chances at winning.
3) Do not whine at me in the reviews if your character is not chosen. You will receive a notice through PM regarding selection, and you can complain to me there if you so desire.
5) This story is imaginative, yes, but I need believable characters. Do not send me your "sweetheart-musicians" or "nice guy-rebels". Get creative and have fun with these guys. Give me something I haven't seen before.
6) Try to have your character fit in with the story's established mythology. I guarantee you that this will raise your chances at acceptance.
7) I will not forbid mental illness, but be forewarned that they WILL NOT be romanticized. OCD, ADHD, MPD, and anything else that falls under this heading will not be treated as "cute" or "edgy". They will be treated like what they are: disabilities. I advise you to consider this carefully.

It has been ninety-two winters since the Cataclysm and eighty-seven winters since the United Commonwealth of Humankind (UCH) re-established civilization within man's original birthplace, the Fertile Crescent.
The colony, called Galileo, exists in a state of eternal peace, made possible by the Mayor and his Administrative Council, who rule Galileo with wisdom and austerity.
To maintain this utopia, a class system exists that divides the Elect and the Wastrels depending on their ancestry, the Elect residing in the manicured city centre, while the Wastrels are condemned to short lives of overwork, disease, and starvation in Galileo's rusty outskirts.

In keeping with the rules of the Beforetime cultural phenomenon, every year, fourteen youths volunteer to spend twenty-four weeks traveling alongside the illustrious Moses McClean into the radioactive wastelands that was once Earth in a televised pageant of willpower, heartache, and drama.
