I missed Tigerstar. I missed my kits. Moth and Hawk were in a better place, and , I guess, Tadpole was, too. It's just hard to believe that my kit was dead. It hurts me and shocks me to this day. I needed to find true love again, maybe a love stronger than I had with Tigerstar. Suddenly, my thoughts shifted to Pine. I hadn't seen my big softie tom cat in forever. And I probably won't see him ever again. I thought, considering how things were going with Tigerstar and my kits. Oddly, just then, the big black and white tom appeared. "Sasha? Is that you?" He asked, maybe just as suprised about our seeing each other as I was. "Pine!" I said, my sad life gaining some happiness. "Well, how are you?" He asked. I sighed and decided to be truthful with him. "Pine, can you come sit with me?" I asked him. He walked other and plopped down on the ground beside me. I appreciated him obeying something so weak. "I used to have three kits. I had another tom named Tadpole. He was Hawk and Moth's older brother. He died of drowning." I said with tears in my eyes. Pine looked sympathetic. "Oh, Sasha, I'm so sorry." He said. I sniffed. "No. No, it's not your fault, Pine. " I said, in a way, hating his sympathy, although I should of appreciated it and basked in it. I continued. "Now, I don't have Hawk and Moth, either. They joined a clan. I turned the clan down. It was just too much pain joining a clan because all of my life, I've either been a forest cat or a kittypet all of my life. The kits' father, he was Tigerstar, leader of Shadowclan, so they would make wonderful warriors." I said, explaining everything to Pine, and never wanting to stop. "That's... That's so sad." Pine said with tear clouding up his eyes, too. I nuzzled him and purred. "Thanks for listening, Pine. I haven't found a single cat that cared or I wasn't afraid of ever since this all happened." I said. "Come on, let me take care of you. You can make your home in my den for as long as you'd like. First, let's go hunting. I need to fet used to preparing meals for two." He said. "Okay." I said, a smile finally surfacing on my face.
