She could follow her out of Michael's office, stop her in the corridor, and say yes. She could go to the PRU, offer to help with the tidying up, flirt madly for half-an-hour and see where that took them. She could wait for her in the carpark (where their outrageously expensive cars sat side by side), claim that it was a coincidence that they were leaving at the same time, and ask her to dinner. She could get her phone number from the personnel files and give her a call.
Or she could do none of those things.
Lorraine Donnegan was known in business as being famously - ruthlessly - decisive. Her private life, however, was another matter entirely.
