Lightning, Scott, Dawn, Sam, Dakota, Jo, and Brick all sat around the pool. Everyone else had gone to their own groups when they arrived at the Total Drama reunion, and somehow these seven had ended up together.
"It's great to be back at Play De Losers with you guys!" Sam said cheerfully. Dakota, now normal again thanks to her daddy's hired research team, smiled and kissed Sam's cheek.
"Yes," Dawn replied, "At least we aren't back on that horrid island!" Dawn was sitting by Scott in her swimsuit. Everyone was shocked when they heard that Dawn and Scott had started dating, but not as shocked as when Jo and Brick had.
"Well I think this is dumb!" Jo said in her usual angry way. "Brick, I'll bet an arm I can beta you in a swim race!" Clearly, she was bored of just sitting around. Brick sighed. personally he wanted to continue catching up on old times with his friends, but he went with his girlfriend anyways and jumped into the pool.
"Come on soggy pants!" Jo yelled from the other end of the pool. Her eyes betrayed her gratitude at Brick's leaving his fun to be with her. Brick splashed after her and Jo took off. Brick chased his girlfriend through the water, watching her form weave through the waves. How lucky he was to get her.
Sam's stomach growled where he was sitting, with Dakota now on his lap. "woops," Sam said, "I'm going to get some grub!" He gently picked Dakota up and set her down by the pool, but she followed him anyway over to where chef was making food. good food, for once. Sam stood in line behind Mike, holding his own tray and one for Dakota.
"You're so sweet to get me food!" Dakota gushed, posing with her boyfriend for a photo as paparazzi popped out from behind a bush. Chef angrily went off to chase them away.
Dawn and Scott were left at the pool, with Lightning. Scott had his head down grumpily. Dawn put her hand on his shoulder. "Why did we have to come?" Scott muttered.
"Scott, I can see clearly your utter dislike of this place, but darling, it was so sweet that you agreed to come!" Dawn soothed Scott like she was talking to an animal. She could see his Aura instantly go from red to green, which meant he was calming down.
"awn..." Scott said huffily, "You know I don't like people!"
"But you like me right?" Dawn reasoned, "And I did so want to come and greet my old companions!" Scott finally lifted his head to her and gave a half smile. Dawn smiled back and kissed him.
"Good thing you're pretty," Scott growl, "Or I would never have done this." Dawn took the compliment as she could get it, for it wasn't often Scott gave them.
