A/N: This is my first TMI story, and I used the prompts: target, candle, ashes.

Dianasoren and I were doing a 20 minute TMI challenge, so sorry for any little mistakes. Hope you enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: I'm not Cassandra Clare.

Jace was standing in the Training Room. He was practicing his aim with a bow and arrow, which, was pretty decent, with Clary, who had only hit the target three times.

He looked over at her. Her blazing red hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail and her long bangs had come loose. He smiled. He would never admit to anyone, even though most people probably already knew, that Clary was the first person he'd ever actually loved.

She sighed as her arrow missed the target once again and instead hit a candle, ashes flying into the air and disappearing in a puff of smoke.

"Hey, it's okay," he said to her, planting a kiss on her cheek. He could feel her cheeks lift under his lips, "Shooting an arrow at a target is no easy feat. Trust me."

"You were born with the ability to do pretty much anything. I don't think your advice counts here," she replied.

"My advice counts everywhere," he said in response.

"Sure it does."

"Anyway, I think you've probably had enough practice for today," he told her, seeing the exhausted look on her face.

"Tell me about it. You've got me training like a maniac. I'll be better than you in a few weeks at this rate," she said, inching closer to him with each word.

"No one is better than me."

"So modest."

"Aren't I?"

And her lips were on his. She kissed him hard, aggressively. He wrapped his arms around her as she laced her fingers through his hair. She smiled as she breathed between kisses, and he picked her up and carried her out of the Training Room, when he bumped into Isabelle.

"Having a little too much fun now, aren't we? Careful, or we'll end up with another half angel-half shadowhunter child on our hands," she said.

Jace gently put down Clary, seeing the blush creeping up her face.

"I better get going before my mom wonders where I am. You know she doesn't like me staying here," Clary said. And with that she was gone. Jace turned to face Isabelle.

"Izzy, come on!" he said, shoving her.

"What? I was just stating the obvious," she said, and sauntered away, leaving Jace alone in the hallway of the Institute.
