Rei shifted her weight as she felt the grainy sand around her. She felt her leg pinned under something metal, but it didn't surprise her. With the crash and all, she didn't even expect to get out alive. But there she was, and other people as well. She felt sorry for them, for they weren't as good as her at keeping their cool.
She sat up and lifted the metal off her leg as if it were paper. Her jeans were torn and soaked with blood, but there was no injury on her flesh. She stood on the white sand, it easily giving away to her weight and covering parts of her feet. Rei took a look around and surveyed the damage.
There were people everywhere, most were bleeding or dead, but a few had gotten away with a couple of scratches. She caught the eyes of a few of them, and they gave her weird looks, as if they had noticed the lack of injury. She paid them no mind though. One of them continued his role as doctor, and she went about helping him.
It took a while, but soon all of the living were safely away from the plane wreck, and the fatally wounded were comfortable. It was dark, and the people were gathered around campfires her and there, attemting to keep warm. She was soon approached by the doctor, and he stood in front of her as she sat on the beach away from everyone.
"Hi. I'm Jack, and I noticed your leg was bleeding. You wanna let me wrap it?"
Rei smiled and shook her head. "Thanks Jack, but im fine. See?"
She lifted the leg of her pants to show him that her leg was alright, and he gave her another look, but left her alone. She noticed one of the guys from earlier staring, and she stood, brushing the sand off of herself. Rei made her way over to him and stood in front of him as Jack had done to her just moments ago.
She extended her hand to him and smiled slyly. "Hey there. I'm Rei. I simply came over to say hi, cause it looked as if you were trying to gather your balls and do it yourself." She gave him a look that said 'I soo caught you staring.'
He simply laughed and shook her hand. "Sayid. And I was merely curious as to how you are bloody, and yet have no injury." He gave her an equal look that said 'I know your hiding something.'
A flicker of fear flashed through her eyes before she smiled and laughed it off. "I have no idea how that happened, but when I find out, I'll let you know. See ya." With a wink she turned and left him.
