Disclaimer: Sorry about Lily being OOC but I couldn't think of a better couple to use. Um...it's Ray's POV and 'you' refers to Lily. In case anyone wants to know.

"Hey Lily! Wait up!" Ray called to Lily as he jogged to catch up with her so they could walk to school together.
"Hey Ray."
"Lil, what's wrong?"
"Not-nothing. Nothing's wrong."
"Lily, your best friend can tell when something's bothering you."
"Nothing's bothering me, I've jus been thinking about some things I shouldn't be thinking about."
Ray widened his eyes at Lily and she punched him. "Not that, Ray! You're sick!"

You had a thought the other day that made you think.
You said something the other day that made me think.

You asked, "What makes life worth living? Why don't I just die?"
And you could not find a reason.
That made me cry.

That made me think. "What makes life worth living? Why don't I just die?"
I could not sleep that night.
I thought, "Why?"

After a night you knew not why.
And that made me cry.

After a night I knew why.
I still cried.

If you were to ask me why, I would try, I would hope you wouldn't cry.

The next day, Ray sat next to Lily on the steps and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"I thought about what you said the other day, Lily."

My reason would be this:

My life is worth living; it is worth the pain.
Because of you.

"Why don't I just die?"
Because then you would cry.

If you need a reason I would say this:
Your life is worth living, Because of I.

Why don't you just die?
Because then I would cry
Then I would die.
