Disclaimers: A poem that Connor left behind after his death

Disclaimers: A poem that Connor left behind after his death.

When Methos came into the bar, Joe motioned for him to come over. Methos went straight over to Joe. God he looks awful though Joe to himself. Joe handed him a letter that Connor had sent to him a few days before his death.

"What is this," asked Methos turning the envelope over in his hand.

"Connor sent this to me a few days ago. He asked me to give this to you if anything happened to him," answered Joe as he went to serve another customer and let Methos open the letter in private.

Adam,

You're reading this letter so I assume I am now dead. All that I wish is that it was quick. If it was slow, well who wants to know about that? I sent this to your watcher friend Joe in case I was killed. I knew that it would happen, but I had no idea of knowing when. I sent this to you in the hope that it gives you a little comfort.

As we see it to be

Death is the next stage

It is just on the next floor

I will remain as I always have

We will remain together in our love

As we did when I lived

Never forget who I am

Talk to me when you feel lonely

Treat me no differently in death

Do not pretend to be grieving

Joke with others and laugh with others

Always be happy when you think of me

Never let my name become a crossword

My name should mean all that is used to do

Be joyful and happy after I have gone

Life moves on as it did before

Nothing has changed; life remains as it always was

I may not be with you in body, but in sprit I am waiting

I will wait for you on the next level up

All is as we see it my love

Connor

Methos folded up the letter and put it into his top pocket. He got the bartenders attention and ordered a beer. When he received his beer he moved away from the bar and sat at a table in the corner of the room. Thinking of what had gone before and what was coming after.
