Kairi POV
I hurried down the path into town hoping that I wouldn't run into Sora. Sora with his spiky brown hair and his sea blue eyes… My thoughts were interrupted by the tree that I had just run into. I picked my things up and walked into the town square. Oh! Sora is right there! (A/N: The stuff in Italics is Kairi's thoughts) I hope I don't do anything stupid. Almost as if it was a cue, Selphie came bouncing toward me. I noticed that she had eaten one too many Pixy Styx.
"Hi Kairi!!" she screamed.
"Selphie… Shut Up!"
"You need to SMILE more."
"No! It's just that Sora is..." I trailed off.
"OH YOU LIKE HIM!"
"Do not!"
"YES YOU DO!" she said in a taunting voice. "OH HERE COMES THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!"
My sugar addicted friend bound away chasing after the truck. How did she know that I like Sora? It probably was the way that I stare at him for 5 seconds then blush and look away. I noticed Sora standing in front of one of the stands and then glance my way. I panicked and dove behind a garbage can. When I looked back he was gone. So I did my shopping and noticed it was getting late so I went home and went up to my room at the Mayor's house. I am so grateful that the Mayor and his wife adopted me after I washed up on the beach. I snuggled against my pillow and went to sleep but not before I promised myself that I would tell Sora how I felt

"IT'S SO COLD OUT HERE!!!" I don't know why I was shouting to no one in particular. Ok Ok you are outside your best friend's house trying to getup the courage to even knock! Wait Wait Wait! This is Sora you can tell him anything. Anything? Yes anything. Ok here I go. I went up to the door and knocked. I looked down at my feet until the door opened and I looked into two shimmering blue orbs. "Hi" I said. My mind was screaming at me. Hi! Hi! You came here to tell this boy that you love him and all you can say is "Hi" how lame is that. Try catching your breath and speak slowly. "Kairi! Hi! Nice to see you but what are you doing here so early?" Sora asked me.
"I have something that I want to tell you."
"Ok go right ahead."
"Sora, ever since I came here I have been hiding my feelings about you. I think… no I know that I love you. D…Do you think that you…you might love me too?"
"Kairi, I'm sorry but I don't think that I could ever think of you as more than a friend."
"Oh O..Okay." I said chocking back tears. "Bye." Then I ran away.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ugh. I am so upset right now. It is still raining and I'm on the dock sobbing. The good thing about the rain is that it covers up your tears. "It's not fair!" I screamed. "Why did I have to fall in love with my best friend?" I heard the sound of running feet behind me and before I could turn around to see who it was, I was pulled into a tight embrace. I then realized that it was Sora and I wondered why he would be hugging me. "Kairi! I'm sorry that I lied to you back there. I just wasn't ready to tell you, but you made me realize that I was. Kairi, I love you too." When he said that I almost melted in his arms, but instead I got up the courage to cup his face and give him a kiss. He looked surprised and then kissed back. We broke the kiss and walked down the beach. Hand in hand.
