Yolei sat in class, bored out of her mind. She hated school. Then again she hated everything. Well, almost everything… she liked computers and writing. She always got in trouble for the latter though, because her parents thought it was a waste of time. And the only thing her parents let her do on the computer was work and do things that would "make her smarter". Yolei sighed as the teacher called on another student to answer a question. None of the teachers liked her, except for her English teacher. The bell rang for break. Yolei grabbed her stuff, and left the classroom. Yolei was almost at the cafeteria when she saw them, Kari, TK, Cody, Davis and Ken all walking together and chatting, having a good time no doubt. That's when Kari saw her, she stopped walking and waved at Yolei, the others also turned to see who she was waving at. Yolei's gut filled with distaste as she walked away, she was vaguely aware of people calling her name as she walked away. Luckily for her she had become quite good at blending in (strange considering she was the only person in the school that had purple hair) so she quickly lost them. She felt detached and alone as she left the schoolyard, and heading to the streets of Tokyo. Her tears stung her face as she walked, she didn't bother wiping them away though she just walking. She ignored the crazy biker dudes as they cat-called her. She stopped walking only when she had finished crying and noticed she had no clue where she was. Feeling hollow and alone she looked around, and that's when she saw the sign "Airport 20 miles". The smile on her face felt weird and unnatural, she knew that it would look strange too, but then again she didn't care about what anyone thought about her anymore. As she got to the airport she briefly wondered about what would've happened if she really had run away when she was 7, when she had been sent to her uncle. Yolei shuddered as she fought back a flashback of that time. She booked a ticket to America and looked around for a trashcan. She found one over by one of the many airport food stalls. She walked over opened her backpack and threw away her books, all except for her English book, and waited for her flight.
About 3 hours or so later, the pilot announced that they were going to fly over the devil's triangle. Yolei didn't notice the announcement however she was too busy listening to "Three Days Grace" on her i-pod. She did however pay attention when the plane started spiralling out of control.
AN; Yeah it probably doesn't make sense now, but it will if I get enough reviews to motivate me to write the next chapter.
