My Secret Valentine
One Shot
Valentine's Day, Valentines Day every year was the same. Gabriella never got anything. Well not anything for anyone she knew. She got a card in the post but it was always signed your secret admirer and she could never figure out who sent it.
So she would just curl up in bed and watch rom coms all day if it wasn't a school day and if it was she would watch couples be together at school and wish she had what they had.
Today she had school and she felt lonely she didn't want to go in. She didn't want to see all the couples of East High all loved up. She wanted a guy for herself.
Little did she know this was the day that would change her life forever.
It started with a single red rose in her locker with a note attached that read have a nice day.
Then she got a cupcake in homeroom from the cooking club, a card signed from a secret admirer. She hoped she hadn't been bought a singing telegram from the drama club. She hated attention. Then in her last lesson English the 'secret admirer' had a singled red rose delivered to her. He had, had a single red rose placed in her seat every lesson including lunch and free period. She had found another every time she went to her locker. Now she had 11. This rose also came with a note "Go up to your favourite place to find your next gift,"
This person, this admirer was spoiling her but strangely she didn't mind she wanted to find out who it was.
But as she got to the top of the stairs leading to the rooftop garden. There was no one there. But none the less she walked up to the bench. And on the bench was a red box. A label on the top read Gabriella.
With shaking hands Gabriella lifted the lid and inside laid a gold chain with a solid gold heart pendant with a small glittering red stone in the bottom right corner. (The necklace from love actually) hanging from it. A red and gold jointed necklace lay to the side of it and a pair of earrings matching the necklace pendant was placed inside of it. After admiring the jewellery Gabriella noticed another single red rose on the bench and the note attached read You captured my heart with a single smile, your lovely laugh always make me smile, you light up the room when you walk in and I love your voice with you sing. You make my heart skip a beat when you look my way. And I because of you I long to say I love you and I hope today can bring the start of something new.
And with those last words Gabriella knew who her secret admirer was. And turning around she spotted him.
Troy Bolton was leaning against the trellis and in his hands was the last single red rose. Taking the count up to a dozen. She had found her secret admirer and it was who she wanted it to be.
