Author's Note: Okay, so, I read through the rules before posting this. If I skimmed over something and trailers aren't allowed, then I guess they'll take it down. Oh well. But yes, just a short trailer script I came up with one night for the Ender's Game movie (if it EVER gets made...grumble).

EG TRAILER

Warner Bros. presents...(fades)

Based on the novel by Orson Scott Card...(fades)

Scenes of the first two invasions. Cities being destroyed, bugger ships skidding through the streets, both sides firing madly, etc.

Carlotta/Graff VO: "Christians have been expecting the imminent end of the world for millennia."
"But it keeps not ending."
"So far, so good."

Cut to fast-paced scenes of the Battle Room. Clumsy kids bouncing off walls, floating around. Through the mish-mash of suits flashes one laser- red beam--then another, and another. Ender, Bernard, Shen, and Alai come through, back to back in a circle and grinning, guns pointed.

Mazer (soft): No one who knows what warfare is can go into battle with a whole heart. It must be a child.

Graff (V.O.): I have watched through his eyes, listened through his ears and I tell you, he's the one.

Fade to black.

Some children play games for fun (fades)

Quick flashes of multiple scenes. Bonzo's crew pursuing Ender in the hallway. Bonzo and Ender fighting in the showers. Ender being bullied.

Dink (VO, intense, screaming): Don't hurt him! Don't you see, he's the best! You think it's all about the game, but there's more too it than that! No one else can fight the Formics!

Fade to black.

Others play for survival.

Music becomes soft--crescendos through Mazer's speech, as does his voice, and by the end he's practically screaming.

Mazer (V.O.): There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will ever tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy him. And only the enemy can show you where you are weak, and where he is strong.

All music and voices stop. We watch Ender from behind, then cut to his feet. Step by step he climbs through an alien world, the dirt tinted red. A thick, musty fog surrounds the staircase on which he stands. Ender reaches the door. Cut to his eyes; heavy breathing. We read the inscription on the door; "The end of the world"

Fade to black.

"Ender's Game."
