It was dark stormy night in Vegas and all of the members of the Grissom family were supposedly all asleep including Grissom and Sara as the family were travelling to Hawaii the next day for a two week vacation. But the youngest of the Grissom clan 5 year old Alex who was frightened of the thunder from the storm couldn't sleep so he got out of bed and walked down the hall to his parents' room and he peered through the gap in the door well and saw Sara and Grissom asleep facing the door with Sara sleeping against Grissom's back with her arms around his waist.
Quietly walking over to the bed Alex quietly called to his Dad " Daddy" no answer he tried again still no answer so he leaned over and gently shake Grissom's arm and Grissom moaned and opened his eyes and saw his youngest standing in front of him "hey buddy what you doing up?" Grissom asked him " The bangs are scaring me and I can't sleep, can I sleep in here with you and mommy?' Alex answered " sure little man" Grissom turned slightly and gently shake Sara's arm and said " Sara Honey we got company" Sara stirred and opened her eyes and saw Alex " hey baby you ok?" she asked " no the loud bangs are scaring me" Alex replied as Grissom lifted him on to the bed next to Sara " aww sweetie well just snuggle down with me and daddy and you will be fine" she said kissing his forehead and all three snuggled down.
They barely had snuggled down when they heard a voice go "mom, dad can we sleep with you too? Grissom and Sara sat up to see their 14 year twins Tora and Zander who had 7 year old Holly in his arms in the door well, Grissom just looked at Sara and shrugged his shoulders.
After a moment Sara signed mock dramatically and smiled as she said " alright come on then everyone under the covers" all three children smiled and walked over to the bed and Zander put Holly on the bed then him and Tora climbed up the bed and under the covers. Alex and Holly were tucked up in the middle, Zander cuddled up with Sara and Tora was cuddled up to Grissom. Grissom just managed to kiss Sara over the kids and then cuddled back down in to the covers. Grissom was just glad he and Sara decided to go for a huge king size bed as it was needed for special times like this.
