"I was gonna say that…" Freddie said looking down at the floor.
"We should kiss?" Sam finished for him.
Freddie sighed. "You're gonna break my arm now right?"
Sam shook her head. "No."
"Well..should we? Just so both of us can get it over with?" Freddie asked her with wide eyes.
"Just so we can get it over with. And you swear we both go right back to hating each other as soon as it's over?"
"Totally. And we never tell ANYONE."
"Never."
Freddie just looked at her lips.
"Um..lean?"
Freddie pressed his lips to hers and Sam's eyes went wide open. She closed them as Freddie pulled away. With a befuzzled look on her face, Sam got up as Freddie mumbled…"Well that was,"
"Nice."
"You were really…"
"Good work."
"Yes, thank you..you too."
Sam started to walk away as Freddie stopped her.
"Hey."
Sam turned around.
"I hate you." he said with a big smile.
Sam chuckled. "I hate you too."
After Sam was out of view, Freddie's thoughts overwhelmed him. Holy crap. Holllllllyyyy crap. I just kissed Sam Puckett. And now she's gone. I have to…..we have to…..strawberries. Her lips tasted like strawberries.
"SAM!" Freddie said as he ran out of the balcony outside of his apartment, hoping to catch her before she got home.
In the hallway of the apartment, he found her.
"Freddie?" Sam turned her head to the side, as if she didn't recognize him.
"Uh…let me walk you to your apartment?" Freddie asked cautiously.
"Mmkay."
On the walk to the elevator across the hall, Freddie was itching to hold her hand but at the same time itching to run away. Am I falling in love with her? This question had been on his mind ever since the kiss. Or maybe even before then. They hopped into the elevator.
"Which button?" Freddie asked as he put his fingers above the elevator button.
"Uhh it's this-----," Freddie's hand touched hers. "----one." Sam's eyes met his. Sam pulled hers away. "Sorry, I…sorry."
Freddie took his hand and put it on his cheek. "Sam…."
Freddie locked his lips with her and wrapped his arms around her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back. Stuck to each other like glue, they started making out, moving backwards together until Sam slipped and ended up on the floor. Not wanting to let go of her, Freddie too slipped and fell right on top her. They both laughed until they heard the elevator door opening.
"Guys?" Carly looked at them with a concerned look. "Are you okay? I heard a sound like gagging and then a big crash."
Sam and Freddie looked at each other with an embarrassed smirk.
Carly raised an eyebrow and gave them a sly smile. "What…what happened in here?"
Sam and Freddie exchanged glances again. "BYE!" they shouted together, closing the elevator door, sending them back down. They could hear Carly laughing the whole way.
