Disclaimer: I do not own Ranma 1/2

Ranma had never yelled at Akane directly, like this, before. Never had he been at this level of anger before. Akane couldn't even remember what had started the arguement off. There had been name calling and insults thrown back and forth. But now, after hours of raised voices and harsh words, Ranma had Akane against the wall. His hands either sides of her head, he had a furiated look in his eye which sent shivers up Akane's spine, yet they always mesmerised her. The way they shimmered and gleamed, they'd lock onto hers occasionally and take her breath away, but lately everything seemed to set them off in a fully fledged arguement. Some lasted days whilst others lasted minutes to hours. It could ever be over the simplest thing.

That's what upset Akane more than anything. The fact that they couldn't just be mature and apologize. They couldn't have a normal conversation.

Sometimes she wondered what Ranma thought of their actions, their behaiviour towards one another. She wondered if he'd rather just be friends than enemies.

Akane took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry." She said in a whisper.

Ranma stopped, mid-sentance, and looked at her with a baffled expression.

Did she just let go of her pride and... And say the two words he, he who had given insults that hurt ten times more than being stabbed, had been dying to say?

Dying to hear?

Her head was bowed, her eyes closed and her proud posture, deflated, leaving the true Akane. The one inside.

His eyes softened and his arms, from the strong, straight position, slackened. His right hand tilted her chin up to face him. He enveloped her in a tight hug. One that said all the words for him. "Me, too." Into her hair, he whispered.

So, this is a one-shot. I hope it was enjoyed by you!
