Above the Island of Dawn a fierce storm raged.
Thunder boomed it's deafening rumbles, shaking the homes below. After the thunder sounded, without warning lightning would flash throughout the skies, lighting up the dark clouds.
Heavy rain poured down in its buckets loads, it was cold to the touch. The high winds that blow down could chill someone to their bones, if they dared to leave the safely of their homes.
One person dared this storm; Monkey D Luffy was clinging onto the very top of a high tree, watching his powerful force without fear.
The winds made the tree top sway from side to side, the icy rain struck his skin, the thunder made his heart jump as it rocked the world around him.
Luffy grins into the pouring rain as the speeding winds tries to blow him off his perch, he held on for dear life and grinned some more. He was told never to go out in a storm, but he was draw to it.
He wanted to touch the lightning.
Grinning still, Luffy reached into his pocket and took out a metal rod that he found at Grey Terminal. Getting a firm grip on it, he raised it high above his head. He did not have to wait long.
Lightning hit him. Time was frozen for him as everything become a white hot mast of nothingness.
Blinking Luffy glances around as time moves once more; the rain was hitting against him, the wind blew at him with force. Lowering the metal rod, he saw that the end had been blacken.
He pouts in disappointment, he had thought that lightning was one of the most powerfully things in the whole wide world. And yet it did nothing to him. Sighing Luffy dropped the rod and slowly began making his way down the tree.
Ace would not be happy with him for going out in the storm. But Luffy did learn something, he loved watching them.
