DISCLAIMER: Well, duh. If I owned this I wouldn't have to resort to posting this where anyone can see it FOR FREE! I'd make you pay for it if I had any rights to it whatsoever… But alas, I do not.
Just to let you know, I DO NOT write lemons or even limes, so don't ask for them. I'm just no good at writing them.
Prologue
A small hut sat in a clearing in the middle of the forest. Where a small boy sat outside his family's hut playing in the dirt, trying to catch a bug. The sun was setting and giving everything a golden glow. His mother and Shiori were inside cooking the evening meal. Shiori normally watched him while his parents went out hunting demons, which they did a lot as that was their calling. The boy knew he would be a great demon slayer like his parents one day and was practicingtrying his skills on the poor helpless bug.
The The boy laughed as the bug he was trying to capture took flight. The rambunctious four-year old tried to run down the path after it when he saw a cloud of dust approaching the hut. It was not usual to get visitors this far into the forest.
"Mama!" he yelled as he ran excitedly back in the direction of the hut. He hoped it was his father coming home early with his uncle from a hunt. His father was off taking care of a relatively easy demon to kill, just a pesky mouse demon scaring a nearby village. The older Demon Hunter had only been gone 4 days and wasn't expected back until the next day, as the village was a few days journey from where the family lived. But he could have been finished early and had come straight home.
The boy's mother came out of the hut smiling and wiping her hands off to see what her son was yelling about.
"What is it baby?"
She froze as she saw the looming cloud of dust. Her eyes widened and she turned into the hut. The look that crossed her face caused her son to stop running. toward her as he looked at her in confusion.
"Shiori!" She yelled and, as , after Shiori appeared next to her, at the door, "take him!" She urgently ordered pointing at her son.
Shiori swiftly picked up the boy and ran into the woods nearby. As she ran, the confused toddler could see the hoard of weasel demons that came quickly toward the house over her shoulder. He cried as he heard the demons fierce battle cries and his mother's yell as she tried to distract the demons from her retreating son and friend.
The sutra's surrounding the clearing went off trying to keep the demons at bay. But they wouldn't stop an entire determined pack. The boy's wailing got louder as he witnessed them break through the protective shield.
In the growing twilight, her nearly perfect night vision didn't help her as Shiori kept glancing back over her shoulder to check for persuit. Because of this distraction she didn't see the tree root she triped over. As she fell, she let the boy go and he went rolling into the foliage.
The boy panicked, and the last things he remembered as his vision went black is a flash of light and Shiori calling his name.

All right, here is my first story I've ever actually written down on paper. I have a lot of stories, but I am too lazy to actually put them down. If this works maybe I'll put some others on here. Please leave constructive reviews!
