I don't own Naruto. It is Kishimoto's, and I am glad to say it is so.

Life After the Fairy Tale

Life is not a fairy tale. In fact, those who experience patches of time that somewhat resemble a fairy tale should consider themselves fortunate. But while we can't have such a carefree story, we do have our reality, and if we look closely, it is much more magical than anything found in a storybook.

Love conquers and consumes all. People will spend their entire lives searching for love. Now, whether they wish to nourish or destroy it is a different matter. Either way, love drives human thought. One example of love's control is seen in a woman's search for Prince Charming. She dreams of him, even if she does not know who he is, and anxiously awaits the day when he will ride in and sweep her off her feet. Once she finds the perfect prince she may even center her life aroud him.

But as stated before, life is not a fairy tale.

Prince Charming is in fact less than charming and, while always near the devoted princess, may never attempt to sweep her off her feet as she so desires. So the princess must earn the prince through her loyalty and care. Once she has won the prince, all is as it should be- for a time. The princess soon finds that her dream is not what is should be, is not what she wanted. She is cast away from dreamland with only a hope that life will be repaired.

One woman knows this story all too well; it is her own.

Well, this is my second fanfic. Please review. While flames will reach me, I much prefer constructive criticism. Thanks for reading.
