Delusion
By: Donte
Every morning I say, "Love you so"
Ran to her crying telling the bad news
They took her away, I miss her so
Cuffs dug into skin I craved her enthuse
Weeks passed, I never saw her, was so sad
In their forgetfulness, she returned spent
She told me she cares, she said she was sad
Sneaking out we ran, thru the light we went
They were yelling at us, yelling to stop
I didn't care soon we'll be together
Squeezing our hands together, add a hop
She spat on me, I was heading nether
I never cared for you it was a game
Depression the name, suicide the game
The emotion I chose was depression, mainly because it is one I have had the most experience with. This helped me personify her through the sonnet. I personified Depression by giving her a human body, almost a maternal appearance. One who has depression sometimes does not know it, and often times take solace in it. Others, like I, create someone to talk to however this would give stronger control to depression. Eventually you would either go mad, talking to someone not there or listen to whatever the manifestation says. Trusting, it because they were the only ones who truly understood you.
A/N; Just a little something I did for school and decided to post.
