Anastasia frowned and snapped at her mother, "I don't care, mum, I don't love the idiot who you have me betrothed to."
Her mother sighed, resting her head in her hands, "Anastasia, dear, you cannot love anyone but him."
The redhead had tears in her eyes, "Mum! You cannot tell me who to love anymore than I can control it."
She frowned, "That's what I was afraid of. Dear, c'mere."
Anastasia's mouth quivered as she was ushered into her mother's arms and sobbed into her shoulder.
Narcissa could make out some words like, "Bloody hell," "Stupid wanker," and "Idiotic father."
She frowned, "Honey, your father wasn't the only one to plan this."
Her head snapped up, "You did too?"
Narcissa bit her lip, "Anatasia, you have to remember something . . . your father and I were best friends with his parents. We absolutely loved them like they were our own brother and sister."
Anastasia replied bitterly, "Then you marry their son!"
Her mother rolled her eyes at her daughter's ignorance, "Anastasia dear, you already know the boy and love him as your own brother."
Her head snapped up, "I know him? Who?"
Narcissa smiled, "He is very kind, understanding, handsome and-"
Anastasia snapped, "Moth-er! Please cut the chit chat and get straight to the name!"
She smiled, "Blaise Zabini, of course."
Anastasia looked as if she'd been slapped, "B-B-Blaise?"
Narcissa nodded and looked at her daughter in concern, "Is there something wrong?"
She went ghostly pale and then out of nowhere started laughing hysterically, cluthing her side.
Her mother placed her hand on her forehead, "You're a bit warm, dear, why don't you sit down?"
At that moment, Blaise bounded through the doors with a huge smile plastered across his face and swept right past the bewildered Mrs. Malfoy and looked down at Anastasia who had tears in her eyes from laughing so hard.
He questioned, "Did you hear?"
She nodded and stood up before breaking out into a smile of her own that could give his big goofy one a run for its money as she leapt into his arms.
Blaise sighed and rubbed his face in her hair, "I was so worried, love, when my father told me I was betrothed."
Anastasia nodded as tears threatened to fall as he whirled her around, she laughed, "Memories of us kept flooding my mind and all I could think about was never seeing you again."
He finished for her, "Never being able to hold you."
She continued, "Never being able to fall asleep with you on the Common Room couch."
"No more whispering nonsense in your ear."
"Its not nonsense! And no more holding hands underneath the Potions desk."
"No more changing your hair colors and blaming it on Draco."
"That was you?"
". . . Err . . . And no more making you laugh."
"No more midnight kisses."
"No more dinners in Hogsmeade."
Before Anastasia could continue their trip down memory lane, Narcissa screeched, "What the bloody hell is going on here?"
Anastasia and Blaise smiled warmly at each other as he wrapped his arm around her waist and nodded his encouragement to Anastasia.
She nodded back and turned to her mom, "Mother, I would like to introduce to you my boyfriend of eight months, Blaise Zabini, also Draco's best friend of seven years."
Narcissa's face broke out into a smile, "Oh my! This is wonderful! Absolutely wonderful - wait till Draco hears!"
Anastasia and Blaise frowned in horror and called out in unison, "No!"
But it was too late, Narcissa had already raced off to announce their secret relationship and now engagement to Draco.
Blaise turned to Anastasia, "But mostly . . . I was afraid I'd never be able to do this again - "
She looked up at him with a questioning gaze as he slowly lowered his head to hers.
