The Doctor closed the door. He still couldn't believe he just let himself cry a little bit. It was something he had forced himself never to do. It was to human.

"Doctor! Come on!" He heard Amy shouting in her brilliant Scottish accent. Following where he thought the shout had came from he walked into the dining room. In the Middle of the room was a big oval table and four places.

" Who's the fourth place for?" He asked slowly with a hint of suspicion in his voice.

"River you idiot!" Amy joked at him. River is here? He thought excitedly. He hadn't seen her for so long. He missed her so much. In fact he missed all of them so much. Looking back on letting them think he was dead he realised just how selfish it was. Although he was just trying to protect them.

River walked through the door. In jeans and a crop top and a thick woolly beige cardigan she had never looked more seducing to the doctor. "Hello sweetie" River said in her usual cool, calm and collected tone. " Uh hi River" The doctor said awkwardly.

They all sat down at the table except from Amy and Rory who went to get the Christmas dinner. While they were doing that River and the Doctor had gotten up and were kissing slowly and softly in each over's arms. " Doctor really! What are you like! Its been 2 years." She whispered into his neck.

They heard Amy and Rory returning with the food and they hastily got back to their seats. Amy set down River's plate and Rory's. Then Rory set down his and the Doctors. They started eating. All apart from the Doctor who had gone very pale.

"Anything wrong? You look ill" Rory said being the eager nurse he was.

"Fine fine, Its just…" The Doctor muttered. He then ran to outside to the Tardis.

He came back a few minutes later. A bit shaky but looking better, a little less pale. "What was all that about then?" Amy said concerned.

"Nothing just felt a bit sick." The doctor said hurriedly not looking them in the eye.

"Why what's wrong sweetie?" River asked him.

"Its just I haven't eaten at tall in the past couple of weeks. It was just a bit overwhelming. I'm fine now!" He said trying to be enthusiastic.

Amy and Rory were a bit shocked about the whole not eating thing but then quickly realising he must have a special Time Lordy thing that allowed him to go longer without eating than humans.

After dinner Amy and Rory decided to go to bed. "You can stay in the guest room if you like Doctor." Rory said gesturing towards a door which the doctor assumed must have been the guest room. "Oh how kind. Sure I'd love to" He said gratefully.

"Ok well goodnight then!" Amy said. She then walked upstairs witch Rory.

In the guest room River and The Doctor were lying on the bed kissing passionately. The Doctor loved her. She was the only woman in the universe who TRULY understood him. She was there when he felt down and depressed. She was there when he was feeling unconfident and useless. And now he finally had her. Wrapped in his arms breathing down his neck. His River Song.
