First Day Back

Samantha, "Wocky" jumps up and hits the shower. Singing her times tables preparing for the first day at school. Sam thought what would the following year ahead bring to her boring life alone. Happiness, fun or tiredness? But before that she new she must prepare for the morning. Shower, put cloths on, eat breakfast and post of all pack all her new back-to-school appliances. Julia, her mother shouts, "Hurry up Sam your going to miss the bus at this rate!" Sam was shocked she had only finished putting her new hand-knitted uniform.

"Raise you hand if this is your a first year!" Mr Bluey, as they had heard screamed into the speaker. All her playschool friends raised there hands with shy faces. What was going to happen? There parents weren't there to help them. It was up to them to figure out how things worked around here. All the new students had to line up and where separated into there new groups for the following year, followed by a teacher leading them to their classrooms. "Welcome to NeoKinda, I am Mr Bluey, head teacher and your new teacher for semester one. I hope you enjoy my company and I hope we can have a successful learning year and that you settle in fine. You may begin with selecting a friend and sit down at any table Sam ran to Lucy "CyBunny", she had talked to her a few days before coming to school. They had formed a friendship and where now constantly together. "Aren't you scared Sam, this is so different to Playschool, I hope everything goes well for both of us" whispered Lucy. But she was ignored with Mr Bluey announcing that there first subject was about to begin. They were all told you take out there rubber and pencil as they where to draw their families. Sam drew her dad, mum and brother. "Wow, where did you learn your art skills! " Mr Bluey said, looking amazed. Sam learnt that she was actually a great drawer.

Lunch time arrived with a rush of neopets raising to the seats. All busy in conversation about the morning of first day at school. All around many new pets where extremely happy about what was going on and how they where coping. They all decided it wasn't a very bad place at all and where determined to get back after lunch an learn more fascinating things. After entering class everyone had a big game of I spy. Lucy called out "I spy my little eyes something beginning with S!", ending with everyone clueless. Lucy shouted of coarse its Samantha, this gave Sam the greatest grin of her life. They where cut of with their fun game and started to fill in again to their class rooms.

Mr Bluey gave us all a piece of paper and said you will be asked to answer 5 very hard maths questions, so listen hard. A burst of conversation started, everyone was afraid what will they receive. Secretly Sam knew her time tables up to 4 already. "4+1, 4+2, 1+7 and 7+7" announced Bluey. Finally they finished marking the tests and Sam surprisingly got 50%. Without caring Mr Bluey started telling how we could find it out easily and it helped everyone amazingly. The whole class choired Mr Bluey is the best teacher, of the world. Leaving him in a great grin. Brrriiinnnggg. "Time for everyone to go home now" he said.

Mum look look I learnt heaps today mum I love school so much, I want to be a teacher, school is the best. All Julia could do is not stop smiling. Sam noticed this and asked what was wrong. And Julia said I wasn't sure you would like school and I'm so happy you do. Lets have some choc milk and some choices I made your favourite!
