Emma couldn't sleep. She kept on seeing Regina's face in her dreams. The hurt and anguish in her eyes as she watches Robin being reunited with Marian. She keeps hearing her voice filled with so much hurt. She keeps playing over and over in her head what Regina said to her that night. That she is just like her mother, Snow. She doesn't think of the consequences. She also remembers hearing Killian telling her to not miss with the past. She didn't listen and now she has hurt her friend.
She tosses and turns going over in her mind if she could have done something different. Why couldn't she leave well enough alone by leaving Marian in her cell? She knows deep down she couldn't let her die especially since she risked her life to help her mother. Her heart wouldn't let her. Just like Snow she made a quick decision without thinking about the consequences.
Snow in her desire to help Regina and Daniel told Cora about their plans of eloping. Snow was a young girl not realizing that she was being manipulated. She only thought that she was helping Regina. She never dreamt that Cora would kill Daniel. She knows that her mother had lived with the guilt that by telling Cora about Regina and Daniel that she caused Regina her true love. Emma is now in the same predicament because of her decision. The decision that she couldn't allow this woman to die and that she had to save her. She never thought about the repercussions of her decision. She now sees that by saving Marian that she may have caused Regina another chance for true love again.
She just hopes that Regina doesn't give in to the need for revenge and fall back into the darkness. She prays that Regina will resist it for Henry's sake. She knows how hard Regina fought to get to the place she is in now where she is a hero. If someone had told Emma when she first came to town that she and Regina would become friends she would have laughed in their faces. Now she is afraid that she will lose her friend. She just hopes that she can try to salvage their friendship. She knows deep down that she has a long road ahead of her but she knows that with Snow's and Henry's help that they will be there for Regina loving her and supporting her.
She will give Regina her space. She is happy that Regina will not be alone. Henry wants to move back in with Regina. Emma thinks that is the best idea because with Henry there she will not be alone. Henry will be their believing in her and encouraging her to be a better person. He will be a reminder that she gave his memories back with true love's kiss.
Emma hopes as the sun is coming up over the horizon that true love will conquer all and that Regina will have hope that it's not over for her and Robin. They just have to overcome this obstacle and fight for one another to get their happy ending.
