Chapter 1: I Love You
It was a warm summer day, and as usual, Mordecai and Rigby were playing video games. "Haha!" Mordecai laughed. "You lost again!" "Aww man!" Pouted the small raccoon. "That's not fair! You had to have cheated or something!" "No way, dude. I don't cheat at games." Mordecai argued. "Then let's play again!" Rigby says as he looks over to Mordecai. Mordecai sighs. "Fine." Rigby turns his head back, and frowns a little. Mordecai notices and turns to face him. "What's wrong, dude?" He asks in a quieter tone. "N-nothing!" Rigby says as he tries to hide the frown with a smile. "Alright. If you say so." Mordecai picks up the controller to play again. "-I just wanted to spend a little more time with you.-" Rigby's smile fades a bit as that thought passes through his head. "H-how about we go for snowcones instead. It's really hot today." Mordecai smiles. "Sure! Why not?" After eating the snowcones, the two sit under a tree to get out of the sun. Mordecai lays back onto the grass. "Today is pretty awesome! Though, it would be better if Margaret was here." Rigby's face turns a bright red color. "Everything's always about Margaret, huh." He mutters. Mordecai then sits up, hearing what Rigby said. He sees Rigby blushing, and blushes a little himself. They sit in silence for a few moments before, " I-I love you, Mordecai." breaks the silence. "I have for a really long time." Morecai's face turns dark red, and he stares at Rigby. "I-I have to go." Mordecai says as he leaves. Rigby sits there, feeling as if his heart had been stomped on. Once Mordecai enters the house, he runs upstairs to the room and locks the door. In shock, he falls to the floor and sits in front of it. "He loves me?" Mordecai looks at the picture he has on his nightstand of him and Rigby making funny faces. "Rigby.. I-"
