Disclaimer: I sadly do not own Kingdom Hearts or anything remotely related to it, except for the game. I also do not own Sly 2, from where the name 'Neyla' comes from. Oh woe is me, I own nothing. Goes into hysterics
Neyla ran though the woods the rain pounding against her face. She had been running
forsome time now and was getting short of breath. The two keyblades suddenly felt very
heavy in her hands, and she was now dragging them behind her like stones. She was
almost to the gate, about ten minutes walking distance. She glanced around; afraid the
two boys might have caught up with her. They still weren't in sight but she had precious
few minutes before they would catch up with her. Or maybe, Neyla hoped, they had
stopped some time back, and giving up on getting the keyblades back.
She almost felt bad for the boys. Almost. Not the silver haired one. He was very rude
and she had been happy to 'liberate' the blade from him. She did feel bad for the boy with
brown hair though. He had been nice; he had even smiled at her. It came as a bit of a
shock when she took his blade. But nonetheless, they had both chased after her. Yelling,
screaming, and attempting to throw things at her, Neyla was to fast for them. But, she
was tired now. If she was unlucky, they would catch her in a matter of minutes. But she
was almost there.
Neyla glanced back at the two blades. Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Alone they could open
their respective door, but combined, they had the power to open a third door. Neyla knew
this was her destiny. She saw the small sign and wanted to sing for joy. It wasn't a sign
really, but a clump of golden colored mushrooms had grown in a clump that formed an
'almost' arrow. She took a sharp turn and slid into a small ditch. This ditch led to,
somewhere, Neyla wasn't really sure of the correct name for it. But this is where she
would find the three doors.
Neyla stumbled out the other side, and landed in front of the three doors. 'Ow…' she
mumbled, brushing her self off. She stared in awe at the three looming doors. One, on the
right, was the door of light. Another, on the left, was the door of darkness. The center
door was the door of, well, something. No one had ever brought Oathkeeper and Oblivion
together before. Neyla took a second to just stare at the doors. They were amazing,
beautiful, and locked. Neyla took a deep breath. This was it. She held Oblivion and
Oathkeeper up, right next to each other, and pointed them at the center door.
From Oblivion, there came and endlessly black beam. From Oathkeeper, there came a
brilliant whit beam. These two shot forward, braiding and intertwining with each other
along the way. The mixed beam hit the center of the third door, and the door seemed to
absorb the mixture of light and dark. After a minute the beams stopped and Neyla lowered
the blades and stared at the door. Suddenly, there came a loud CLICK sound like a lock
being opened and the door slowly swung open.
It was time. Neyla took a deep breath. This was her destiny. She decided to take at least
one blade with her to protect herself. But which would help more? Would either help at
all? She looked at Oathkeeper and hoped for the best. She looked at Oblivion and hoped
for the worst. Then she hoped for something and took them both.
