Remember us, we are the dead.

We once loved and laughed, lost and cried.

We are not the heroes of war that come home victorious. We are the ones who lost, who chose the wrong side. We fought for money, or power, or for those we love. And we were forgotten.

Left to die by the hundreds, you will not remember us, but there are some who will. The brothers, sisters, wives and mothers will mourn the day that stole their hearts.

Remember the fallen. The insignificant dead. The casualties of war that once stood tall. Now lost and forgotten.

Just something to make you think.
