It had to be about three in the morning. Axel was actually sleeping for the first time in quite a while. In fact, he had just gotten to sleep. A knock could be heard at the door and that was all that was needed to wake him. Axel groaned and glared at it. Nobodies weren't known to be the most polite creatures, but really. Axel considered ignoring it, but the knock happened again, louder than before. He cursed and pushed himself up off the bed. He slowly made his way to the door and pulled it open.
"What?" he asked in an annoyed fashion. Roxas – the new kid – was standing there. He wasn't like the rest of them, Axel had noticed in the short amount of time he'd spent with him. He didn't pretend to feel like the others did.
"Let me in," he demanded. It wasn't a request, so Axel shrugged his shoulders and stepped aside.
"Awful late for a visit, hm?"
"Is it?" Roxas asked, entering the room and sitting down on the bed. "I couldn't tell. It's always dark around here." Axel cocked an eyebrow, a smirk forming.
"You're not afraid of the dark, are you, Rox?" Had the lights been on, Axel could have seen the teen blush.
"Of course I'm not!" he snapped.
"Then why're you here?" Roxas hesitated, and that was all Axel needed to continue teasing the boy. "That's what I thought."
"Shut up! I am not!" Roxas said, defensively.
"Why're you so afraid? We lurk in the darkness," Axel smirked a bit more. "Can't be scared of your element, now can you?"
"I told you already, I'm not scared," he told him, crossing his arms over his chest.
"And I'm the queen of Disney Castle," Axel rolled his eyes. He moved in the direction of Roxas' outline and placed his hands on his shoulders. The younger Nobody started.
"Don't do that," he told him.
"Why not?" Axel ran his hands down Roxas' arms. "That's one of the advantages of living in the dark." The boy jerked away from the older male and got off the bed.
"I don't want you to, that's why," he said, moving away from him and back against the wall.
"Well, that's why you don't like the dark," Axel rolled his eyes. "You don't take advantage of it."
"Take… advantage of it?" Roxas sounded genuinely curious, so Axel went on.
"Yeah. There's so much you can do in the dark. Let loose. It's not like anyone can see you, right?" He smirked and winked at him, though it wasn't as thought Roxas could see him do so. After a moment, Axel leaned forward and pressed his lips to Roxas', pulling away after a second.
"What the hell was that for?" Roxas asked, not angrily, but curious still.
"The temptation was too great," Axel smirked. "And it wasn't as though you could see me, right?"
There was a moment of silence in which it seemed as though Roxas would leave. Suddenly, however, Roxas' lips came crashing onto Axel's, sloppily, yet it was certainly a kiss. Roxas placed his hands on Axel's chest and pushed him roughly backwards toward the wall. Axel felt a tongue probe at his mouth, so he opened it, granting the other Nobody entrance. After that, it was over too soon. Roxas was pulling away and Axel could see him turning to leave.
Slightly out of breath, he managed to get out: "What the hell was that?"
"The temptation was too great," Roxas told him before summoning a portal and leaving through it.
