Perception.
T: Number three in my 'seven deadly sins' project and, as with all of the 'Sins' fics it is a little sparse as far as plot is concerned! There is a the barest hint of angst and this fic belongs more to the anime than the manga but apart from that it's safe! I don't own Ouran, something that depresses me on a daily basis!

In the end it'd been the trip to the water park that had been his undoing. Before that fateful day he had believed, whole heartedly, in his 'daddy' persona, had believed that he was protecting her, favouring her, because he considered her 'family'.
Then he had seen her in that swimming costume…
It hadn't of been the most revealing of outfits considering the alternatives that the twins' maids had been discussing and yet…
Ever since that day he'd been unable to think of her simply as his 'daughter', had been unable to look at her in the high class shapelessness of their school uniform without picturing how she had looked in that costume.
He'd worried about this change in perception for the longest of times, worried that the things he now felt for her would bring about uncomfortable changes in his life.
Eventually this concern had gotten so sever that, in desperation, he'd turned to his father for advice.
He had no wish to 'loose face' should his fears prove little more than idle paranoia and thus he had talked through the issue in as clouded a manner as had been possible given his heightened emotions.
The elder Suoh had listened carefully and then given a ream of overly flowery advice, before looking his son direct in the eye and saying,
"It is possible that your friend has just realised that this other is blossoming into a beautiful woman, a realisation that has sparked some hidden desire in him."
There had been a great deal of sense in this interpretation of the matter and, after thinking things through again, he'd decided that it was the answer to his 'problem'.
Lust was, after all, an easier emotion to 'deal' with…to suppress… than love.

T: For those still not sure this is dealing with the sin of lust. This was the sin fic that inspired the whole thing and though I'm a little uncertain about the mood of the thing I'm confident I chose the right characters to represent this sin…Tama-chan is, after all, in clear Lust with Haru in the series! R+R.
