Treasure Seeker

Treasure Seeker Ian Howe
I am seeking out Ben Gates
To find a treasure none allow
Searching through the states.

From revealing where a frozen ship lies
To masking my evil intentions
It could even lead to a friends demise
Nothing will ease the tension

I leave others to die
And take an early departure
Next I need to be sly
And have aim as good as an archer

Stealing is something that I have down
As long as there is good attendance
But competition is looming around
while I'm stealing the Declaration of Independence

Now solving the clues on my own
Not as easy as I thought
If only someone would throw me a bone
To find the treasure which is sought

Enemies lurk behind closed doors
It almost seems a world apart
They hide in many nearby stores
But all of them play their part

Using people to get to Ben
I always hold all the cards
I have his friends followed by my men
They are happy to be my guards

Going beneath Parkinson Lane
Inside the creepy tomb
To find the treasure I wish to attain
While sending others to their doom

Making our way down unstable stairs
to the treasure I hope to find
Leaving again to attain my wares
If only I hadn't been so blind

Off to another location
Where the treasure is supposed to be
I would easily tear down a nation
But soon I will no longer be free

In the end I go to prison
No friends will be with me then
It is not the end I envision
I'm not going to Iron Pen
