I really love the Slayers anime, and it had a fairly good ending. But I'm the kind of person who needs closure. Lina and Gourry did kiss at the end of Slayers Next, but they don't remember it so their relationship is still open-ended. Zelgadis is off in the world alone with a keepsake of Amelia, while Amelia just went back to her kingdom. I just can't stand open-endedness. So I've decided to write the next adventures of the Slayers gang.
This is based on the Slayers anime. I know there are some differences between the anime and other works, but I'll be ignoring everything else. I would love feedback, especially for keeping the people in character. If you have any suggestions, please review. You've probably seen the anime. You know what's mine and what's not.
The Seven
The Lord of Nightmares is the mother of all. The Dark Golden Lord is the supreme being, higher than both the monsters and the gods. From the sea of chaos, the four worlds were born.
Lesser known are the First Seven, who were born as the worlds were born. First came Daelrun, Lord of Creation and the embodiment of the life force that runs through all. As he came into being his eyes opened, and he watched as life came to be. Next came Solun and Selene, Lord of the Day and Lady of the Night, embodiments of light and dark, as light and dark itself came to life. They came into being at the same instant; and though they slumbered side by side, they felt the creation through their elder Daelrun. Then fire flared and Ferith, Lord of Flame, embodiment of Fire came. The fire flickered and fanned in the wind as Arrah, Lady of the Sky, embodiment of air was born. From the sky clouds grew and rain fell, and so Marin, Lord of the Waves, embodiment of water existed. The rain put the flames out and the earth was revealed, bringing forth Geirret, Lady of Growth, embodiment of earth.
All but the eldest slumbered, half aware through Daelrun that life began to stir. It is said that before coming to the others, Daelrun visited one of the four worlds. Almost before life began on that world, it was nearly destroyed by his presence. Though he left it in a sorry state, life was still new and the world managed to thrive, though it was severely damaged.
Daelrun came to the place where Solun and Selene slumbered and spoke to them, calling them by name and title. They awoke and their eyes opened to see their elder, through whom they had felt life. He then went to Ferith, to Arrah then Marin, and then to Geirret; speaking, and calling them by name and title. One by one they woke, their eyes opened and they saw their elder, through whom they had felt life.
The Seven are the embodiments of life and creation, through who's existence life continues. They are in balance, connected to one another. Daelrun, the oldest holding the greatest power of life, and through him the others live. They exist above the astral plane, or to say more precisely, on a higher part of the astral plane, which no other can enter except for the Lord of Nightmares. They wait and watch the worlds; separate from the life they are inherently part of, and which they could destroy.
Well, besides the bit about the Lord of Nightmares, I made all of this up. I had my reasons, and they will be explained later. R&R please.
