"Come on, you can't be serious!" she said while she stood in the kitchen of their new home, in which they had moved in only a month ago, it was nothing every young married couple had, especially when one of them was a resident in internal medicine.

"And why not?" he shot back angrily as he stood behind her, waiting for dinner. He had thought she would like the idea of emigrate to Spain.

"I already agreed to move to DC! Because you "couldn't" work in a hospital in Washington and now after nearly a whole year in a dirty two room apartment we only got out of a month ago to move in this nice apartment, you want to emigrate to Spain!? Not in a million years!" she turned around only to see his angry features, she had ever seen him like this in their four years as a couple and it frightened her.

He lunged out and she had no chance to react, the slap hit her across her whole face. But it wasn't over, he laid both his hands around her neck and choked her, before he pushed her down on the floor. She struggled with all her strength while she tried to breathe, her hands tried to get a hold of him but he was too strong and a strange sound escaped her throat as he kneeled on her, keeping her legs pinned to the kitchen floor painfully.

"I can work everywhere! Because I am the best! Did you understand me? You will never speak of me or to me like that again! Or I promise you I'll make you regret it, I tried to do us a favor!" he hissed angrily down at his wife, whose attempts to fight him off got weaker and weaker. Her eyes bulged out and tears streamed down her face, because of the lack of air and pure horror.

He then let go of her and she quickly rolled on her side, taking deep breaths while she coughed heavily and crawled away from him.

"I think some things need to change here from now on, you'll learn to show me the respect I deserve, you're nothing! Understood?!" he said cold and let her head fall back on the floor, which he had lifted up by her hair. But it only was the beginning of her years in pain.

Alex Blake lay awake in bed and waited for the sun to set like she always did when the pain, weakness and fear in her was too strong to let her find sleep. Sometimes there maybe was something like a merciful unconsciousness, but there hadn't been anything like a peaceful sleep for her in this room.

It was a dark night, without a moon or stars, she listen to the almost crushing quietness, which was only interrupted by his snoring from time to time. Alex sighed and slide as far away from him as possible without falling out of the bed, she bit her tongue to avoid the hiss of pain to come out.

Her hand carefully traced over the green and yellow bruise covering her left ribcage, it wasn't one from the beating today, those she had received this evening covert her back and thighs and were ones she had to learn to handle a long time ago. But being thrown into the kitchen island was still damn painful.

She swallowed and curled into a ball, this really was pathetic she worked as an FBI Agent, had to fight some of the worst Serial Killers in this country and wasn't even afraid of them…but was terrified of her own husband. And it made her hate herself, for not being strong enough to leave, of being afraid of him, for doing what he wants, for letting herself be used by him, that he could make her feel worthless and weak.

But she didn't know where to go, it wasn't like she hadn't tried before but he had always found her and the punishment she had received made her never try it again. She did remember exactly the first time he had hit her, it had been three weeks after their Honeymoon in an argument it had been one slap and she regretted everything from that moment on, because it had only come worse every day, every week, every month, every year.

He had managed to separate her from her family and friends, had made her feel lonely, abandoned and horrible only to make her believe that he was the only one in the world who loved her, took care of her and the only one who would always be there for her and Alex had been stupid enough to believe him. But soon enough he had shown her the meaning behind the words a living hell.

She wanted to tell someone, she wanted to tell someone on the team, she trusted them -sort of- and they were like family. But she didn't know if she really counted as a member of this family, Alex had forgotten what it was like to be a part of a family he had took that from her and she was scared.

What would they do if they found out? Would they even believe her? Certainly not, who would believe a woman who worked as an FBI Agent and Profiler when she said that she had lived in an abuse marriage for twelve years and that she flinched every time her own husband came near her, but never when psychotic Serial Killer went nuts? Why should they?.

And she wouldn't be allowed to work anymore for sure, if they found out she was an emotional wreck who was beat up by her husband regularly. They couldn't trust her to keep herself together at work especially in the field, it could get them all killed. Alex couldn't lose them, or this job! It kept her alive, those days she was able to get away from him, to help others it really was the only thing that kept her going. She had to keep it a secret.

In this moment her cell phone buzzed on the nightstand, she quickly reached over -again bit down a hiss of pain- so it wouldn't wake him up. It was Garcia, they had a Case! Thank God! She pulled the covers carefully aside, but before she could move one millimeter a hand gripped her left arm tight.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"We've got a Case" she said and showed him the message before he could ask. Her permission to stand up was a disinterested grunt as he went back to sleep, hopefully this was going to be a long one! Alex thought as she got up and changed for another day at work with her mask on, so nobody would find out about her secret.

Well something new :) I wasn't sure if I should even Post this one, so tell me what you think about it! There is a small chance for a Blake/JJ pairing so if you'd like to read something in that direction just tell me ;) Criticism is welcomed too!
