His irises swirled, and the coal black color of his eyes soon faded into the familiar crimson red. Gradually the world became a bit slower, colors and textures became sharper, more distinct, and everything around him exploded into thousands of information loaded perspectives. As he continued to soar into the air, the Sharingan focused on his opponent below him. Analyzing the body posture, focusing on his footing, reading his stance. His mind buzzed with different strategies and counter attacks, while similarly committing the stance to memory. His thoughts sifted through ninjutsus, genjutsus, and taijutsus, but a dark voice crept into his head silencing the rest of his brain.

Chidori…

It was whispered in a cold, malicious tone, that didn't sound familiar to his mind. He felt a tingle in the cursed mark on his neck, but instead of the white hot flash of pain that usually accompanied it, calming warmth spread through his body. The chakra points seemed to open wider, and he could feel as concentrated chakra flowed out of the mark and throughout his extremities.

A dark smile graced his features, and the Sharingan eye spun faster with excitement and adrenaline. As he reached the apex of his height, his right hand suddenly crackled to life as the chakra was focused into the palm of his hand. Lightening seemed to shoot from his fingertips, and soon engulfed his entire hand and most of his forearm.

This technique is only to be used in extreme circumstances…

A familiar voice invaded his thoughts, and the warning of his sensei echoed hollowly in his head. He shook the thought away, and the Chidori crackled even louder. Now was not the time for rules.

He aimed his body back toward the earth, using the chakra in his feet to propel him forward at maximum speed. The wind whipped through his hair, and tore through his hospital garments. His eyes however, were wide and blazed with fury and resentment. The two-tear Sharingan spun rapidly, continuing to analyze Naruto's stance, unfamiliar with the technique being used.

There was no hesitation from the orange clad ninja. Naruto leaped upward, seemingly unconcerned with the impending death that crackled and sparked angrily in Sasuke's right hand. The Sharingan whirled, and immediately something wasn't right, something was different. The wind had picked up in fury, but it wasn't by nature's guiding hand. Rather, this wind was soaked with chakra. His eyes darted around, trying to locate its' source, and that is when he finally noticed it.

Naruto's right hand!

Blue chakra swirled in his right hand, taking on the form of a sphere. The wind picked up furiously as the chakra ball gathered speed.

'So this is his power…'

He felt no concern. This would decide everything. Sasuke's smirked again as he watched Naruto surge forward, arm extended.

"Rasengan!"

The cursed mark burned now, and Sasuke's eyes flashed madly.

This was for defeating Gaara. This was for defeating Aoi. This was for fooling everyone into thinking he was stronger. This was for making him look weak. This would test his limits, test his self worth, and let him know whether or not he was worthy to carry on as an avenger

Sasuke's jaw was set, as he thrust his own hand forward.

I will kill you, Naruto.

"Chidori!"
