Chapter 1: The Heat-Haze
Legend's POV
It was a normal day in the world of Minecraftia. My buddy, Axel, and I would always try to help out with the villages around. Day to night, we slayed the monsters that approached the villages and other things to help with their lifestyle as well. Things were pretty much a normal way of living for us if you could say. Though of course, we do expect adventures out in the wild, but we have to maintain our duties in the village to protect it.
Axel's POV
Sigh, I can't believe in our whole lives, we have to keep protecting the village, just because the last iron golems were defeated, and they ran out of materials to make another one. I was going to suggest for Legend and I to snag some more iron to make another one, but seeing that they gave us training when we were little, and used their leftover ores to craft us weapons and armor, I guess… it's not too bad. But I seek for adventure! Something we could do instead of staying here in this bum, and protecting the village with our lives… even if the mobs are easy to defeat. The sun's rays beat down in the village, and the burning sand does not help at all either. Tons of sweat is dripping from my face, and I almost feel like collapsing in this heat. I think I heard Legend call out to me, but I was getting dizzy. I couldn't wake up, as my vision darkened.
Legend's POV
"Axel? AXEL!" I called out to him. He seemed like he was lying down in the burning sand. "Hey Axel! You can't just take a rest here! You'll get a reeally bad sunburn! He didn't move. "Axel?" I asked. As I turned his body around, he had sweat dropping down his whole face; it was almost like his whole face was crying. "Oh no…" What should I do? Well, there was no time to think, so I took his burning body, and I asked a couple of villagers to put him to rest and to take care of him. I noticed we were out of water, so I went to the nearest well we had and scooped up as much water as I could. The sky suddenly darkened, as I noticed the sun was setting. "Oh shoot…" I suddenly almost forgot the village. I ran back with the buckets of heavy water back to the village. I quickly set them aside near where Axel was lying down, and I rushed back aside. I took a quick glance back at Axel on the way out, and his face was red, and he looked sweaty still. Every villager was running inside their homes, as the night rises and the monsters creep in. "Okay I can do this, I got this. Even without Axle, I'll manage to defeat these mobs". I said to myself with confidence, as the moon rises above me, illuminating the ground, waking the monsters…
