Soft, fluffy snowflakes drifting from the sky. In front of a homely cottage, a grandmother and her granddaughter were seen together. The grandmother displayed as a fragile soul, clutching a walking stick for a support while watching her cheeky granddaughter playing with the snow.
The old woman, Kim, sighed as she watched her granddaughter jumping and laughing on the snow happily. She used to dance like that. Moving gracefully like a swan under a full moon.
" Grandma, why don't you join me?" the little girl asked.
Kim only shook her head and replied with a smile, "no sweetheart. I'm too old to do that now. I don't want to damage the snow."
"Is it because of Edward?" the small girl asked.
Kim paused for a moment. She was thinking about Edward. How the first time they met, and when everything had turned out badly, and she had to leave him alone on the mountain.
"Grandma, don't you miss him?" the girl asked again.
"Of course I am. I miss him so much that I always think about him."
"You know that you can go up there, call him to come home," said the girl, suggesting a brilliant idea.
"I don't think so," Kim answered, while at the same time considering the idea to be good.
It had hit her that she can just go up there, on the mountain, and call Edward home. Well, perhaps if he doesn't want to live with her, he can still come to have a dinner sometime. With that, he wouldn't feel lonely and alone.
"Grandma, are you okay? Why are you being so quiet?" asked the girl.
"Let's go inside. We'll go and visit Edward tomorrow.''
"Can I ask him to live with us? Please grandma, pleaseā¦" she begged.
"Only if he wants to," Kim replied with a nice smile. The smile that once made Edward, the scissorhand fell in love with her.
Both of them began to return home and prepare for the new family member that will live with them tomorrow. Kim had prepared a nice room for Edward and makes it comfortable for him to move around without damaging things.
