I wish I had known

This story is told from Ino's perspective as she watches Tamari and Shikamaru having fun together. She is to afraid to admit she is jealous to anyone so instead she tells her diary. This is what she wrote.

I wish I had known that you would leave. I thought I would have you forever. Looking back, you were always quit distant. Why didn't you tell me what was wrong?

Why not tell me the truth? You told me so many lies. You said it was the distance between our houses. That couldn't be it. We were going strong for almost 3 years.

Now I can see that I didn't need you. I needed a man who was honest and true, like the man that I'm with today. I thank you for leaving me heartbroken; so that I could find the man I was meant to be with.
