Midnight X

I do not own X-Men: Evolution characters doing rip-offs of Robert De Niro/Humphrey Bogart/Marlon Brando films. This came up after the X Fiction story. Anyway, hope you like it! R&R

"Can I help you, ma'am?" A state officer asked as he was approached by Jean and Scott at the state law office in Las Vegas. "Jean Grey, Federal Bureau of Investigation, this is my partner Scott Summers, New York Police Department. We have suspicions of a riot breakout in one of the hotels in the Casablanca part of Vegas." Jean stated calmly, as the officer did not notice her left hand holding her pistol grip in the holster. "That part of town does not appear in the records, ma'am. This license is from…2019?! This is like from the future!"

At that notice, Jean had her gun aimed at his head, and with a swift motion, ripped off the officer's fake head to reveal a Mafioso mobster. "Amor fidelis." Jean uttered before shooting the mobster in the head. "Get the money." She ordered to Scott as he headed to the safe deposit boxes area, with his shotgun loaded. Jean grabbed a tanker of gasoline, carefully poured it around the hallway floors and desks while Scott quickly emptied all the known Mafia money accounts and placed them all in a briefcase labeled "X-Men Police Dept."

After emptying the vending machines and placing them into their food container, Jean took out a match, lit it and placed it on the trail of gasoline and she and Scott watched as the state police office went up in ashes.

"What was the population number of the town again, Scott?" Jean asked as she was driving through the streets of Texas, looking for the nearest food stops

"106 million people. Practically an entire population enough to fill a newly constructed living planet." Scott replied as he took a drink from his cherry soda flask. Jean smiled and focused on the road as they headed into a town labeled "NEW YORK CITY. 1968."

What did you think? The New York '68 sign? Could mean an American Gangster rip-off? Anyway, hope you liked the story. R&R
