Burning Love
Caitlin woke up with a start, for a few seconds she was unsure about why exactly she had woken up.
Then she heard the racket coming from the kitchen, she heard some muffled curses and then the water of the tap running. When she came into the kitchen she saw Harrison holding his hand under the running water. He had a pained look on his face and it was then Caitlin realised that the earlier noise had been caused by him hurting himself, not because of early morning clumsiness.
"What happened?"
"Couldn't you at least tell me that your stove top doesn't immediately turn cold after turning it off…"
Caitlin let it slide, the only reason that he was this prickly was because he was annoyed and in pain.
She kissed his cheek and pushed herself up on the countertop. He sighed and turned the tap off, Caitlin motioned for him to give her his hand. He scoffed, but finally gave in. She took a closer look at the small burn, the pad of his thumb was red and there were a few small blisters.
"Wait…"
She jumped of the countertop and started rummaging in the cupboard under the sink, when she turned back to face him she was holding a first-aid kit and he had an expectant look on his face.
His hair was tousled, the black S.T.A.R.-labs shirt was wrinkled and his grey gym pants hung low on his hips. She took out an aloe vera ointment and he stuck out his hand without her having to ask.
He hissed when her fingers touched the sensitive skin of his hand, but she raised her eyebrow at him daringly, as if she was saying come on Harrison, you've been through worse things.
After she had finished with the ointment she took a bandage out of the red first-aid kit and put it around Harrisons hand. Finally she pressed a small kiss on the bandage, which earned her an odd look from his part.
"See? All better." Caitlin giggled and Harrison couldn't hold back a chuckle.
He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hugged Caitlin close to him, she put her head against his chest and sighed, he kissed the top of her head.
"You're quite something Snow."
"As if you would have me any other way."
She looked up to him and he shook his head, earnestly smiling down at her.
"Never."
