One-shot! Review please. :)
Alex walked out on to the patio of her new home with Mason. A rare beach view on top of a private hill as it looked out on to the ocean with it's fading sky. The stars were beginning to shine as she sat next to Mason who sat on the grass.
"Mason, I have something for you."
"If it's another stuffed dog..."
"Oh no, it's not." She handed him a letter.
"A letter? But you don't write."
"Yea, well call it a whim." She handed him the letter that was probably 5 or 6 years old.
"Okay." He said as he carefully opened the letter. The date read August 27, 2010.
"Wow this is old."
"Yea, I know, just read it, it's for you."
"Okay..." He began to read silently, then out lould.
Dear Mason,
You know I don't write or read, or you know those things but for some reason I felt like writing you a letter. Ancient tech. I know. But I know you'll never read this that's why I'm writing this. A vent I guess. Who knows how this will go.
I miss you, a lot. It's almost painful. I'll never let any one know, that would blow my whole rep. I don't want to be like Justin. Awful. But you, you are a person I am crazy about. I think about you all the time and I know your not coming back. Your a wolf now. But between you and me, I'd keep you even if you were a wolf your whole life. I love you.
Huge words I know, especially for an imaginary letter you'll never read and I'll probably just shred. But I just wanted you to know. Your the best boyfriends I could ever have or want, sure I've dated a few... okay a lot of other guys, your really different you know. Ack my hand is cramping up. Too much writing! It need to not go on the stupid impulses of writing. Note to self:* Never write to non-visitant boyfriend again.
With all my heart, Alex.
Mason closed the paper and looked at her, giving her a large hug. "This is why I wanted you to be my wife." He smiled as the sat closer to each other, leaning on the other for support. They sat there looking at the stars already becoming brighter as the sun faded away. The cool breeze swept at their hair as they sat there in mutual awe and happiness.
"You know, I don't think I'd rather spend my life with anyone else either." she said quietly.
All their hopes and dreams, beginning. Wishing like all newly married, that the night would last forever...
