There he was.
Fighting.
"This is..." muttered Madoka. He had to be dreaming.
There could be no other explanation for the phenomenon happening before his eyes.
"He is never going to defeat it," said a bright voice, and by bright, it doesn't mean that it shone the world with its own frequency-it was a little offensive, or rather, too positive that it was...
Disgusting.
"What's goin' on?" said the boy. "He's never going to defeat it. Why's nobody helping him!"
"No one can," said the bright voice. "This is his own fight. And he's going to lose, and that is going to devour him, just like it was for everyone before him."
Before him?
What was this voice talking about?
"But, it might be a different story if you joined in," said the voice.
Madoka's eyes sharpened. He slowly turned to the white, fox-like creature. Its bright red eyes stared into Madoka's soul.
"If you become a magician (mahou tsukai), there's a chance for Akari to win and return safely along with you."
Madoka's hands trembled. That was exactly what he wanted.
He's been yearning for this moment.
It was his time to shine.
"...Is it true?"
"Every word."
"What do I have to do?"
"It's easy!" said the creature. "You just have to accept my contract in exchange for a wish! Then, I can turn you into a magical boy!"
Madoka smiled a little. He could finally be a help to his friends.
Then, as if mocking Madoka, he woke up.
I'm assuming that most of you know the story already.
The basic idea is that this is a gender-bending story of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.
Plot points are all the same, and it might be boring.
But certain minor points and (spoiler...kinda?) the ending is a little different.
Anyways, have fun.
I'll be back if anyone's interested.
