Ash will journey across Kanto to find out the story of his Pichu named Lilly, stopping The Chairman's plans and tangling with Team Nature. Prologue

One dark night, a female in a hooded cloak was running from Isabella Black, a Pokémon hunter in the employment of The Chairman of The Techno Institute. The Techno Institute was a corporate giant that ran Kanto and Johto with an iron grip. The Chairman was in effect dictator of both regions. He used advanced technology to advance his aim of world domination. He had sent Isabella Black after her as he wanted to recover what she had liberated from him. Fortunately, he was also facing trouble from Team Nature, who was originally a bunch of disorganized hippies who hated technology but now they had suddenly organized behind a Winter Frost. Thus she took the chance when Team Nature attacked The Chairman's Castle on New Island to liberate one of his most powerful experiments. Team Nature she heard had recovered something that The Chairman had taken from them not that she cared about them. She was holding a small Pokémon in her arms as she ran from Isabella Black's henchman and their Z.Z. Flyers. She made to a fork in the path and said to the small Pokémon "Go right and I will lead them away" The small Pokémon nodded and went right. The female in the hooded cloak made sure that the henchman saw her go left. Dozens of flyers chased after her.
