Luna's Secret
On a warm Saturday afternoon, a girl with blonde hair is skipping down the hall. She is carrying a package in her arms. No one pays her any attention, but she doesn't mind. Stopping outside a door, she opens it carefully. Inside the empty classroom, a certain poltergeist was floating lazily around in circles. Most people, upon entering the room, would have immediately turned around and run the other way, but this girl was not most people.
"Hello, Peeves," the girl said in a dreamy tone.
"Loony," Peeves cackled.
"Now, Peeves, we discussed this. Don't call me, Loony. It isn't very nice," Luna scolded an out-of-place stern look gracing her face.
"Fine... But only because you are helping me out," grumbled Peeves.
"Don't be sad. I brought you more dung bombs today," Luna said.
Peeves brightened at those words. He hovered in front of Luna holding out his hands. Luna placed the dung bombs on the desk and then stood up.
"Next week, I will bring more supplies for you. Don't forget your promise."
"Yes, yes. Don't call you Loony and let you know when and what I'm planning."
"Good-bye."
Skipping down the hall and laughing to herself, Luna began thinking over her alliance with Peeves. Despite how Peeves acted, at the core of their relationship, they truly were friends. Two misfits, outcasts, all on their own - a perfect friendship.
No one else noticed her which didn't matter. It was better if no one noticed her. Besides, she had Peeves to keep her entertained. Peeves cackled loudly while zooming toward the Entrance Hall.
BANG!
"PEEVES!" Filch's voice rang through the corridors.
Luna was smiling to herself as she skipped toward the Ravenclaw common room. No one suspected Loony Lovegood of being Peeves's supplier. Luna may not be a prankster like Fred and George, but Luna was indeed a prankster – just more of the behind-the-scenes kind of prankster.
A/N: This doesn't really take place in any timeline... It's kind of just a possible random idea type thing. Review or critique please, I love it. :)
