"Hey, Reyes, you gonna tell me what's up or you just gonna keep starin' at that elf jackass Morrison?" Jesse teases his half demon commander. No one knew Gabriel Reyes quite like Jesse. The two had a sort of... mental agreement. Both were outcasts, albeit for different reasons. Jesse could use magic, and Gabriel was the child of a forbidden couple. That, and neither of them liked to go by the rules.

"Shut it McCree. At least I have a love life lonely boy." Reyes smirks, pulling in the teenager for a nuggie. The pair share a laugh as Gabriel releases the rugged teen.

"But in all seriousness, where am Ah goin' this time? Please say Texas," Jesse chuckles, picking his black cowboy hat from the floor where it fell.

"Nope, sorry kid. You're going to Japan. The Shimadas will be taking care of you while you hunt down an Oni." Reyes said, clearly upset that he had to send another agent due to his lineage. Jesse, meanwhile, was ecstatic. Reyes trusted him to track down an Oni, alone! With a chuckle and a hug, Jesse bound away to begin to pack. Which wasn't much, to be quite honest. In his excitement he accidentally bumps into the Valkyrie Angela, better known as their battle medic, Mercy.

"Ah, hello Jesse! I see Gabriel has told you the news?" She beans at him, not at all upset at his clumsiness, after all, what could she expect from a human boy. Jesse nods excitedly, and waves before continuing to his room.

Meanwhile, in the ancestral grounds of the Shimada clan stood two Kami, highly placed spirits, arguing. The older was Sojiro Shimada, the younger, his son Hanzo Shimada. Another son, Genji Shimada, the younger of the two sons, was eavesdropping, per usual of the mischievous spirit.

"Father, why must we watch that... that human. In our home!" Complained the strong minded spirit.

"I do not intend to have my own sons searching for an Oni alone." The father retorts, "You will accompany him throughout the country until the Oni is found. Understand?"

The young spirit growls, "Fine. But I take no responsibility if he shall find his end at the Oni's kanabō."

"Then it is settled. Tell the servants to arrange him a room near yours."

"Yes, sir."
