-Becker's Point Of View-

Standing outside by the parking garage exit, I was reprimanding one of my soldiers. A car revved behind me, looking back I saw Jess car coming towards the exit. Seeing her car a recent memory came unhindered.

I was more than a little shocked to see Jess at the club, it was a dirty place in a really questionable and unsafe part of town.

She was wearing all black – a color I didn't think she owned, she looked dangerous. Walking up next to her the only acknowledgment she gave me was a nod as she ordered a drink.

I felt a surge like liquid fire pulsed thought my veins making me lightheaded as I looked her up and down- her black dress fitting snugly against her curves in all the right places.

"What are you looking at Becker?" She asked as she caught me staring.

"Maybe I'm just enjoying the view." I purred, she smirked at me downing her drink in one gulp. Quietly she turned abruptly and walked direct of out the club, without really thinking about what I was doing I followed her.

As I got outside I looked around, catching a glimpse of her reddish brown hair as she rounded a corner down an ally.

Jogging I took off after her…moving down the way she went. I didn't know how long I chased her, she took me practically everywhere – leading me on a slow chase. Soon I found myself at the beach, the full moon illuminating her as she stood ankle deep in the water. I walked down the beach towards her. Taking off my shoes I slipped into the water as well.

She turned to me as I reached her. Without hesitation I put my hand on the back of her neck. Somehow I wasn't ready for the instant my lips met hers. The kiss was deep as my hand moved down her back – pressing her closer to me.

The memory faded as her car got closer I saw her look up at me, her lips parted ever so slightly as our eyes met, looking me up and down I saw the desire burning in her blue eyes.

Another fleeting memory came.

I rolled her over on her back, our bodes joined in every way, not caring if anyone saw us. Kissing her neck she moaned softly as I thrust slowly into her, taking my time to enjoy every second of this – getting to know every part of her. She tilted her hips upward slightly, the jolt of pleasure her movement created caused me to moan loudly.

Jess continued to drive by, biting her bottom lip - her eyes suddenly filling with hurt as her gaze didn't leave mine, again memories came to me.

The morning after we had to call a cab to come and get us – at her flat I walked her to the door. My head was clearer- sober. As right as last night had felt I knew that nothing could come of it, and I had told Jess as much.

"Jess you know it would never work – there is just too much going on in both of our lives…"

"Please don't tell me how my life is going Becker." She responded - her first words to me all morning. She didn't sound upset like I had expected her to. She turned to me…her beautiful face catching me off guard.

"Becker one day you will regret not giving us a chance." Her voice was leveled and matter of fact. Giving me a sad but resigned smile she shut the door in my face.

Her eyes were still locked on mine, soon she was beyond her blind spot and had to turn her attention back to the road.

Still watching her drive away for the first time I felt regret for not seeing whether or not it would work out between us…but maybe it wasn't too late after all.

The moment I thought that Jess's car pulled out onto the busy road – a truck slammed into the driver side, as auditable crush filled the air as the truck practically pulverized her car.
