Chapter one
The faun
Thwack! The soft powdery snow hit the forehead of Digory, he ran inside. They were following him, they wouldn't leave him alone. It was the witch from Charn, she was following him.
Digory woke up. He fled to his Uncle Andrew (who had recently died)'s old bedroom were he searched all over until he found four rings, two yellow and two green, and ran to the attic. He crawled through a dark passage in the attic until he came to the attic of his friend Polly. This room was just above Polly's bedroom. He opened the handle of the little door on the floor and plopped into Polly's bedroom.
Polly expected to have Digory anytime so was not surprised.
"We have to go!"
"Go where?"
"To Narnia of course now hurry up"
Polly who was not expecting this stood up and slowly walked to Digory who took her hand and put on his green ring. In two seconds they were standing in a calm forest with many pools they stepped into one and came out in a wonderful place of talking animals, A lion named Aslan who created it and a evil witch of whom was in Digory's dream. It was normally a beautiful place but rite now the trees were cracked and everything was wrecked. There were no animals anywhere, there were thorns everywhere and there was no noise. There was a tall tower in the center of everything that wasn't there before and something was coming towards Digory and Polly. It grew and grew until it was as tall as one of the old dead trees. It was the witch! As soon as they noticed her they ran for there lives. When they came to a lamp post they stopped and turned right and kept on running.
"Ouch!" yelled Digory when he hit something hard. It was some sort of faun but it was half man. When he noticed the two children he ran into the house and shut the door (they noticed he locked it to because of the little click noise). They could hear the witch she was closing in on them, they slammed on the door and then, finally, he (what ever he was) let them in. Once again he locked the door. Now that they had a closer view they noticed that he was some sort of half faun half man kind of thing. He was beautiful; he had dark brown hair and wore a little black hat. He didn't say a word and went straight to the kitchen and in about five minutes came back with a steaming kettle of tea. He pored Polly a glass of tea, careful not to spill, and then Digory and then himself. Then he spoke;
"Well what are you doing here?" asked the faun sounding rude but not meaning to.
Digory told him about how they came to Narnia before and about is dream and about the rings, The faun-sounding bored- then said " Well we'll deal with that later now lets go see my garden I'm ,like most fauns, very proud of this garden of mine". He led them out through a back door that was hardly noticeable because it was the exact same color as the rest of the house which was beige with a few hints of copper.
When they stepped outside it was pretty dark but not dark enough that you couldn't see the garden. The garden had flowers such as; daisies, roses, violets, daffodils, and a few pansies. Then there was some trees but they were very tiny like cherry trees and last but not least there was a patch of things that looked like oversized grapes with pink stripes.
" What are those things"? asked Digory pointing at the grape like things.
"Those" said the faun, "are mini watermelons, if you would like you could try a few they aren't very filling considering that they are so small you could probally eat about fifty of them without blowing up".
So they ate about ten each then went back inside and made them each a bed out of blankets and pillows. When they were all asleep (except for the faun) the faun had a glass of tea and some watermelons and went to bed.
Meanwhile the witch came to the house crept inside and went to the fauns room…………
