I'm standing in front of her, I know it's her, but the dry, moist of the forest around us, makes the cool metal in my hand stand out. Looking over, I don't believe what I'm seeing, it's a gun, I'm pointing a gun, and to the girl I love. The sudden tense in my shoulder made it aware I couldn't stop myself from pulling that trigger, ending her life. The expression on her face was motionless, she had as much control as I did, and something had us, but what? A shadow had walked out from my own body, staring at her, wanting something. I knew it was me, but I hated it for the way it stared. It turned around placing its hand over the gun, making me put it down by my side, it was smiling, it went back to Max, holding her close to his chest, the intense rage building up, broke its hold. When I went to grab him, it had thrown me back, and in an instant I knew I was falling, far. Starting to spiral down, I saw how far the fall was, I couldn't stretch my wings, I was dead. Just before I hit the ground, I jumped up, awake. It was all a dream, I look over to see her, safe, and in no one's arms, happy now "my turn, you can get some sleep," I got up and walked over to her tired body. "wha..?" was all she could reply, I sat down beside her and let her fall on my shoulder. This way I knew where she was.
After that dream I don't thing I was going to be able to sleep for awhile. All I could think about was how "I" showed off like that, and how he, held her, I knew something was off, but I wasn't sure I wanted to know. The intense silence made it aware that no one was here, not a thing. I stared at the last few stars in the sky, just before the sun would take them. That's when it hit me, this, ME, was the sun, and I was the star, slowly leaving. I didn't realize how much time had past, Iggy and Nudge we're starting to wake. Max did soon after. We started to do the daily routine; Nudge and I would hunt, while Max and Iggy started to get everything ready, Iggy doing the cooking of course. When we got back with some fish, we we're surprised to see food already there, "oh, you didn't need to bring more, Fang" Max said in a happy tone, this made me feel weird, I looked at Nudge, staring back at me, we had no clue what had happened, it was a mystery that I felt needed to be solved. "It …was nothing" I lied. We placed the fish in a knapsack, and started to chow down, saving the rest for later. I couldn't stop wondering how that food got there; Max certainly thought it was me. No matter how stupid it sounded, I had to ask, "Did you see Nudge?" I saw Nudge look at me, wondering how I was going to cover this up, "no, actually" Iggy replied.
"Hey Iggy, did you see me!"
"Nope" he smiled.
"You're hilarious, but seriously?" I looked at Max.
"No, we didn't, where was she?"
"Um… getting more." We left it at that, I turned to get ready, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. "What's up?" asked Max. I turned, confused, "we're leaving,"
"But you said to spend the day here today"
I blinked harshly at those words.
"RUN!" I yelled in alert, everyone grabbed there stuff and flung towards the skies in less then a second, we were high and aware, not stopping "why did we do that?" Max said. This was going to be hard to explain, maybe ill have some luck, or maybe I'll find this imposter, and be in for a rude awakening, man, this sucks.
Be ready for chapter two, will he find his mysterious imposter, or will he just find himself in more trouble?
