"I hope you enjoy this vessel, Little Miss Cheerleader, I took possession of, Doyle, and she is after all a present for you."

Standing before me was the face of someone I had come to love above all others, Haley James and that stunning smile of hers even beat Cordelia (and now that is something big), and now her eyes were pitch black.

(a wicked smile locked on those familiar lips as she wore her like a damn coat)

"Leave her this very moment, you bitch."

My eyes were filled with so much goddamn hate that it hurt, and the fact that I was looking at the woman I loved more than any other made it hurt so much damn more.

"Oh come on, Doyle baby, she was going to leave you anyway. I'm just here to give you a chance to have her until the end of days, isn't that what you wanted?"

(the words 'forever and always' had escaped from my mouth but I couldn't bring myself to spend it with this creature from hell)

Before this began, when those horrible eyes aimed right at me and chose my life to ruin for the hell of it, those relationship ending words were about to leave my lips.

'I'm a demon underneath this human face; can you still bring yourself to love me, Haley?'

"Yes it is, but I want her human in every of the good ways and sweeter then honey not you, never you."

Through the black I could see the hurt she was trying and failing to hide, as she finally finds someone that does not want to give up their soul and love her, and her deadly hands were dying to hurt this new flesh she was buried deep in.

(the girl that had a wonderful and normal life until I stumbled into her life with my goofy smile)

"I'm just as good as she is, Doyle, maybe even better and I'm not leaving her until you say that you love me."

It was the same thing as all the other times the only difference was that her hands were those I've held tighter than any others and lips that I've kissed a million times.

"I'd rather die than say those words to you, Ruby, but I have a handful that I've been dying to say since I met you, goodbye, don't come back."

Before she could escape, only to come back another day saying words of love and threats, those words came out and gave her an express ticket to hell.

And in a matter of seconds the black disappeared and replacing it were those lovely eyes I've come to love closing tight as she fell to the ground.

"Haley! Please me okay, I can't be in this horrible world without you by my side."

No thoughts were spent on Ruby, who was hopefully already burning and yearning for the one she can never have, as I saw Haley open those wonderful eyes and felt nothing but relief.

(damning those visions to hell because they had made these eyes see her dying in my arms)

Unknowingly my true face had come out during this whole ordeal, spikes and all, and it was hanging over her as she blinked open her eyes.

(and it was just a matter of time before my fears became reality)

"Neither can I, and Doyle I know everything about you but I still love you the same as before. It is after all forever and always, right?"

Every night filled with worry over this one damn thing faded away, trying to figure out if this normal girl could handle the supernatural, the moment she smiled up at her demon.

"Right, let's just hope it lasts that long."
