Sought
He's on his knees. Holding my arm. Crying.
"Why? Why didn't you let me find you? I – I looked everywhere…!"
Such pain in his voice. It's as if I'm being stabbed with every word.
"I…didn't want to be found."
"Why?" His breath is sobbing.
"Not like this."
"I don't care…it's still Riku in there, right…?"
Warm arms surround me; he's oblivious of the on-lookers as he nuzzles his tear-streaked face into my chest. His lips move; he says something only for my ears.
"I missed you, Riku…I need you, don't you see…" Muffled hiccups; he's still crying.
I close my eyes, tears spiking their corners. I return his loving embrace and pillow my face in his soft brown hair.
"So did I…I did all this for you…my light." His grip tightens.
"Don't leave me again, please…don't make me search for you ever again."
"Never."
