For Dean Winchester being protective wasn't anything out of the blue.
Especially considering his families track record.
So when that feeling begun creeping up on him he didn't mind.
If anything he'll be glad to punch some guy out.
He strolled into the bar intent on helping whoever.
But then everything went into overdrive.
Dean saw red.
Castiel was being manhandled.
By a guy.
Standing at the pool table, Castiel was obviously uncomfortable with some guy rubbing his fricken hand on his thigh. Okay, so not really manhandling but same thing in Dean's eyes.
Dean stalked up the the two.
"Dean!" Castiel said with a wide smile which looked on odd on his usually calm and sullen face.
Castiel stood up, obviously an attempt to get away from the man. The man did not like this. His hand shot up right away grabbing for Castiel's forearm. Dean was faster. Much faster.
His hand gripped the man's arm. Squeezing just a little too hard. Okay, a lot too hard. The man struggled well Dean smirked smugly.
"Stay away from my friend."
Friend didn't sound right.
Brother?
No, but there was love there.
Just not the same kind.
"Okay dude just let go!" The man said a little too loudly. Attention was now solely on Dean.
"Dean," Castiel said gently laying a hand on Dean's shoulder.
Dean paused. Castiel's hand, he didn't want it to leave his shoulder. He wanted the contact.
Dean let go of the man who then bolted out of there.
He soon felt Castiel's hand let go of his shoulder.
Dean tilted his head "Opps." He said with a trumpet smirk.
Castiel shook his head with a soft smile "Dean," he said "Let's go."
Dean nodded "Sure."
That feeling...it was probably nothing.
I mean if if it wasn't nothing that what could it be?
Love?
Real Love?
Dean inwardly shook his head.
No.
He didn't have the time for that now but maybe someday...
"Dean!" Castiel was ahead of his now waiting at the door "Come on."
Dean laughed "Cool your jets dude."
He'll keep it in the back of his mind.
It couldn't be anything serious though, right?
