"Wade, is that you? How could they do such a thing to you?"
(grey finger tips held onto my shoulder for dear life)
The weapon of choice dropped from my hand the moment I saw the man inside the monster, expecting demons trying to take out the slayer's sister like always, and just looking into his eyes told me who he was.
"D-Dawn, I remember you."
It was clear that he was Wade the second he opened that mouth, one that had been sewn shut by those sons of bitches, and took those grey hands of his and grabbed hold of my hands.
(remembering when they were tan and attached to a wide smiling smart-mouth that could walk among the mortals)
"Thank god for that, I bet it would have ended quite badly if that wasn't the case. But how did you find me?"
Before all this started, lying about secret missions and those shiny blades of his (he was always the life of the party and the chef), he had told me that if I needed him in any way he would always find me.
And I guess he kept his word, something I've always known him to do especially with me.
(even if that new gruesome mug of his I was relieved to see him alive but not very well)
"Blond vampire, almost turned to dust, and called you 'little bit'."
And after he said those words I knew it wouldn't be long before Spike came with Buffy and tried to kill my somewhat demon boyfriend and then later on asked me if I wanted to be his 'little bit' once again.
(which would involve physical violence and lots of no way in hell)
"Ah that would be Spike, let's just hope he doesn't come for revenge. I'm not worried about you, Wade, more about him and you turning him into dust particles."
