This has nothing to do with my current Cato story. This is what I wished his last words would've been.

~Cato was lying on the ground, before the cornucopia. He had a searing pain that was all over his body. He spotted Katniss on top of the cornucopia holding her bow. The mutts had finally gone; he knew why she was descending upon him. He let out a breath and thanked the gamemakers for sending the mutts away. She kneeled beside him, and whispered, "It's okay, I forgive you." He let out a tear and coughed on some blood before he managed to say: "Katniss, I am sorry. I had to be pride for my district. You can let them win, Katniss. The capitol, they have to go down. They can't do this to us anymore." He coughed some more and held out his hand and said, "Hold my hand, will you?" Katniss was sobbing by this point. She reached her hand out to his and grasped it. "Katniss, when you get to my district on the victory tour, don't cry for my family. Please don't remember me as the monstrous boy who volunteered. Remember me as the boy who had his humanity ripped away by the capitol and used in their game. Remember that for all of us." He dropped his hand and stared at katniss. "Katniss, please." He said. She pulled out her bow and shot Cato. She ended his suffering. She ended his pain. He was finally at peace.
